This project was for a fashion product development course. The class was instructed to split into groups where we collaboratively created a product line for a specific target market, using various methods of generating patterns for mass-produced apparel with emphasis on "flat pattern" design techniques. Relationship of body configuration to pattern shape, specifications to garment size and fit, standards for judging fit, distinctions between ease and style fullness, and design analysis procedures are included

Our group designed active/swimwear line for SS22 targeting women ages 20-35 who are characterized as independent individuals with fast paced lifestyles.

When creating my design I envisioned it for a consumer who balances work, their social life, and athleisure. From starting your day at the pool or beach for some morning laps, followed by a visit to a local coffee shop to knock out some work, then finishing some errands before heading home and getting ready for the evening, this look is perfect to accomplish all these tasks without having to change in between.

The one piece is designed to act as a swimsuit or your everyday body suit made from a nylon blend to provide comfort and mobility from its soft and stretchy characteristics.

The pants are made from toweling material with the intent to absorb excess water from the one piece allowing the individual to go about their day while eliminating drying time and maintaining comfort.
